LUNA—a club-native research unit incubated by Moth, a quantum computing company—is working on a paper [better defined as an ‘event’ or ཐིཋྀ ] that connects the history of computing and quantum research with reality systems, contemporary sonic culture, and speculative futures. Through the exploration of quantum entanglement within the ravespace, ཐིཋྀ is dedicated to practically deprogramming normal reality scripts through the reconstitution of neural networks across collective cultural bodies.

This preliminary ཐིཋྀ is activated through an investigation of quantum systems as applied to latent club spaces [a methodology known as ཐི8ཋྀ]. LUNA_1 uses the process of excavating trance-forms within hyperculture to rupture the spiral masses, to find synthesis between natural and artificial bodies as outlined in ཐི8ཋྀ. The aim is to produce a cross-propagation of fictions perceived as reality in line with McKenzie Wark’s definition of xeno-euphoria, when the body begins to lose “the form of its being in time.” To reformulate the lived space as a hallucination, or ‘hyper-cination’, of flows, breaks, partial objects, immanent phenomena through DJ sets and live performances utilising quantum algorithms. This ཐིཋྀ and all following ཐིཋྀ will continue to examine quantum culture and its application to contemporary sonic culture, as an ongoing experiment in collectivity and digital technologies.

Using this ཐི8ཋྀ methodology, LUNA is committed to its evolution as an audio research unit, aiming to unlock quantum potential through the corruption of normal reality scripts within the ravespace. We ask users to suspend all disbelief and think speculatively to imagine multiple realities playing out simultaneously, where narratives are multiple, flexible, trans-historic, in which experience is non-linear and does not correspond to the way we perceive the world at present. In traversing the real, users must also manufacture realities for themselves: realities that transcend 0 and 1 binaries on a subatomic level, and are simultaneously both 0 and 1.

LUNA fundamentally believes that, at a subatomic level, the rules and logic that shape our world don’t survive scale-down, instead they disintegrate into a shadowy netherworld composed of entanglements. In ཐིཋྀ , the club becomes a hallucination at a subatomic level. The club-goers are particles as waves that exist only insofar as their relation to other things. Each individual reality is broken down until it becomes part of the transcendental flow [fictions potentiate changes in reality]. Nothing is real beyond what is revealed by an act of observation. Take Schrödinger’s cat trapped in a box with a vial of poison, except its club-goers in ཐིཋྀ , where all possibilities are happening simultaneously. You won’t know what’s inside until you enter the ravespace.
